Covid Policy
We are following the current CDC and Minnesota State Health recommendations and will continue to update. You are welcome and encouraged to use masks based on your personal preference or circumstance. Please do not attend class if you are experiencing any COVID symptoms or have recently been exposed to COVID.
WEI’s Non-Discrimination Policy
The Women’s Environmental Institute is committed to the policy that all persons have equal access to its programs, facilities, and employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, gender, age, sexuality, marital status, disability, public assistance, and/or veteran status.
Scholarships
WEI has limited funds to offer scholarships for those needing help to meet the registration costs. Regular students may apply for 1 full, or 2 partial scholarships per year. We work to provide scholarships until our annual scholarship funds run out. Please click on the below links apply to apply for scholarships:
Youth Attendance
Unless otherwise indicated, all of our classes are designed for and open to students 13 years of age and older. If a course is specifically designed for younger youth, it will say in the class description. Youth must be accompanied by a caring adult.
Registration Deadlines
Registration deadlines vary by class and are listed on the registration form. Classes that do not make the minimal enrollment may be cancelled. It is a good idea to register early. WEI keeps a WAITING LIST for courses that have filled to capacity. Individuals on the waiting list are contacted only if an opening becomes available.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
If WEI or the instructor must cancel a course, students will receive a full refund of any payments made for that course. If a student must cancel 5 or more days before the event, they will receive a refund less 20% to cover administrative costs. In recognition of the time that WEI staff and instructors put into preparing for a class, students cancelling within 5 days are not eligible for a refund unless that spot can be filled by someone on a waiting list. Please contact WEI as soon as possible if you may need to cancel a class registration.
Privacy
WEI respects your privacy and will not sell or give your mailing address or e-mail address to another party. Once you register for a class, we will add your contact info to our mailing list to notify you of new classes and current events at WEI in our newsletter. This list is not shared with any other organization or persons. You can unsubscribe at anytime
