1. Please consider a generous contribution before the year's end or early in 2009. WEI relies upon private benefactors to help offset operating costs, since many of the communities served by our environmental justice mission have limited financial resources. Gifts of any amount are welcome and appreciated. Please see the enclosed donor envelope.
2. A Capital Campaign Challenge. In an effort to raise $100,000 toward our capital campaign, several private donors would like to challenge as many supporters as possible to help us reach this benchmark. So far we’ve got the ball rolling with $20,000. A generous donor has agreed to close the gap in the home stretch as soon as we reach $95,000 towards our capital campaign. Please see the enclosed donor envelope to participate in this challenge.
3. Become a member or renew your membership. You can sign up for an individual or joint membership today. Renting our Eco-Retreat Center is an opportunity reserved for WEI members. Your membership gives you discounts, including a $25 discount on a 2009 CSA membership and a 10% discount on all Eco-Retreat Center rentals, classes and events offered by WEI in 2009.

4. Rent the Eco-Retreat Center at Amador Hill. Make a reservation for a meeting or overnight at the beautiful Amador Hill Eco-Retreat Center, just an hour from the Twin Cities in the beautiful St. Croix Valley. Drop an email or make some calls to help spread the word to friends, work-colleagues, family, and organizations that are making their plans for 2009. The Center's cozy spaces, including four bedrooms, a library, fire-place and an outdoor bonfire option, are great for staff and board retreats. WEI's rural campus is beautiful throughout each of its seasons; we welcome you and yours to use it as a community resource. (Kids may enjoy visiting the chickens that seem to lay eggs all year long.) Note: Across-the-road access to Wild River State Park also provides a special opportunity to use well-tended winter cross-country skiing trails that you may want to consider. 5. Give a holiday gift from WEI! We suggest gifting a membership, or an overnight stay or weekend holiday at the Amador Hill Eco-Retreat Center. WEI will provide a festive certificate and card that you can use to present your gift.
