All are welcome to attend our Winter Solstice Celebration. Celebrate the longest night of the year at WEI. We encourage all of you to go to the Wild River State Park’s Bird’s Holiday Tree Feast (1-4 p.m.) to observe the Winter Solstice and the beginning of spring as the days begin to grow longer! At the park, you can make edible ornaments of pinecones, peanut butter, seeds, bread and fruit – or string popcorn and cranberries – to place on The Bird’s Holiday Tree -- as you watch the many species of birds enjoy their treats. (You will need a park pass to enter Wild River State Park.)

Solstice celebrations at WEI convene 4:00 p.m. WEI will provide sustenance for everyone on this traditional evening. We will share our stories about darkness and the beginning of new light for the coming year. At sundown we will light the candles in the apple trees and take a long walk through the woods under the full moon. The evening will end with a bonfire from last year's pruning and our night song words of poetry and hope. Kids are welcome. Call to let us know that you will be coming (651-583-0705).

WEI Members and friends are welcome, but please remember that your pets are best left at home while visiting WEI.
