Join WEI for the third annual Organic Farm School, a ten week lecture, discussion, and field course on organic food production and agriculture from an environmental, social, and historical perspective, connecting environmental justice with agriculture and food justice. Participants will also have the opportunity to develop practical skills in organic horticulture through hands on workshops at the WEI alternative farm campus and farm field trips.
Complete the whole course (90% of lectures and a selection of workshops and field trips) and earn a Women’s Environmental Institute Certificate in Beginning Organic Farming and a letter of recommendation to the Land Stewardship Project Farm Beginnings Program. Or, simply drop in for a few interesting discussions, it’s up to you!

Hands-On Workshops and Field Trips
WEI's alternative farm campus will provide on-site workshops on organic farming and orcharding, including soil and fertility management, composting strategies, greenhouse management, weed and pest control, tools and machinery, and other relevant topics. (Dates and times of field sessions are TBD.)

Work Study
For every 5 hours you work at the WEI Farm, you will get $10 of the cost of tuition reimbursed to you. Learn by doing and save money!
